It has taken me many years, but I finally figured out how to make the perfect cup of coffee at home.
The Machine: Technivorm Moccamaster
First, let us talk about the coffee machine. My aunt did her research and discovered that the Mocamaster is by far the best coffee machine. And she was right. This Youtube video explains it all.
If you watched the video, you would have noticed that the Mocomaster only has an on/off switch. I like waking up to my coffee already brewed. Easy fix, I just used a smart plug that turns my machine on five minutes before I wake.
The Coffee: Dark Roast
I have several favorites. All dark roast, of course.
Lately, I have been enjoying Kirkland Signature Starbucks Espresso Blend Dark Roast.
The Cream: Half & Half
I like half n half, and with my new favorite tool (below), a little goes a long way.
The Tool: Milk Boss Milk Frother
Frothing your cream, milk, whatever you use.
This was the last piece to the “best cup of coffee” puzzle. And to be honest, it’s probably the only thing you’ll need to make your coffee rich, creamy, and taste fantastic.
I have a fancy frother that came with my Nespresso machine (which makes a great quick cup of coffee), but it’s a pain to clean (the frother not the machine). So I never use it. My new tool is a game-changer. The Milk Boss Milk Frother is quick, easy to use, and very easy to clean.
My friend was over when the Milk Boss Milk Frother arrived. We tested it together. She agreed and asked for the link to get one herself.
Once in a while, I will treat myself to one of my favorite Starbucks flavored syrups.
Pumps sold separately.
