FITNESS: WALK 8,000 to 10,000 STEPS A DAY

Benefits of walking 8,000 to 10,000 Steps a day include improved cardiovascular health, increased calorie burn, and enhanced mood and mental well-being.

Walking 8,000 to 10,000 steps a day can also contribute to weight management, strengthen bones and muscles, and reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as diabetes and certain types of cancer.

Additionally, regular walking can improve sleep quality, boost immune function, and increase overall energy levels throughout the day.

Creative Ways to Take More Step Throughout Your Day include taking the stairs instead of the elevator, parking further away from your destination, and incorporating walking meetings or phone calls into your daily routine. Pace around your home while brushing your teeth or waiting for your coffee to brew. Another creative way to increase your step count is to explore new walking routes or trails in your area, making your walks more enjoyable and engaging.

And on “those days” (we all know we have them) I’ll be happy if I only do 6,000 steps. Research saw the same benefits, in general, when participants walked anywhere between 6,000 to 10,000 steps.
